I started in vizslas over 20 years ago. My sister Sherry Klein gave me my first vizsla. He was just going to be a pet! That seems rather funny now when I look at how my life has changed since then. I own two time Hall of Fame winner, 4 time National Champion Jack Daniels along with many other titled vizlsas, and am president of the Vizsla Club of Northern New Jersey, am on the board of the National Vizsla Association, have been a long standing member of the Vizsla Club of America and also the Tampa Bay Vizlsa Club! Vizslas have a way of working their way into your heart! Now, I cannot imagine life without them. They are a major part of our life. When you hear vizslas described as "velcro dogs" they are not kidding. Your vizsla wants to be with you and touched by you all of the time. In trying to describe the breed to newcomers, I try to caution them that your have to want this in a dog or you will be disappointed in your choice. They are "needy". I love it, but not everyone is looking for this in a companion dog so be sure you are prepared for this before you choose a vizsla as your next dog!
